Life in this pandemic has been a roller coaster. From the news spreading depression in millions, the lock-down has made it all worse. We are still nowhere close to recovering from the pandemic known as COVID-19, and many of us have lost our cool.
Many people are trying to get through this pandemic and honestly speaking; every individual has their way of tackling the situation. We as humans are social animals, however, this lockdown has not only damaged us mentally but also spiritually. Authorities have recorded almost 9 million legit cases from all around the world; let alone 2.3 million cases in the US.
Nonetheless, the question still stands, how to get through this pandemic? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. We have devised a plan which works in 90% of the cases. However, if lately you’ve been suicidal and are having an existential crisis, you should consult a professional in that case.
Exercise!
Working out is the best way to reduce stress. Sometimes we overthink more than we should. Overthinking results in us having unwanted scenarios in our heads, which then messes up with us. No one wants to think of a negative scenario and be sad over something that has not happened.
Exercise helps us to release unwanted tension. It not only helps with the tension in our muscles but also helps our brain to relax. Our body requires exercise, that is why we need to work in our life. Nothing positive comes out laziness. Being productive has a ripple effect, and working out in the morning makes you take more viable decisions throughout the day.
However, you don’t need to take your work out routine to the next level and try to build up muscles like a bodybuilder. Try to keep it natural, do enough exercise to stay in shape.
Eat, eat, and eat!
Take this time to explore your likes and dislikes. It is time for you to start making wonders with your hands, because who doesn’t like food? We all love eating food and trust me, experiencing new dishes is always fun!
Cooking is healthy and according to research people who cook for fun are happier in life.
Internet is full of amazing recipes by renowned chefs, also, there are many channels you should check out for great recipes. Thai, Indian, and Italian cuisines are unexplored by many individuals, and trust me they’re worth a shot.
Discover yourself
The purpose of our lives resides within us, waiting to be explored. We usually wake up 10 years late in life wondering what would have happened if we had decided to do something meaningful with our lives. The question itself has the answer hiding within. All we need is a little push.
However, it is essential for us to explore ourselves and find out what we should be doing. Such thoughts come to us mostly when we’re alone and in solitude. Hence, this is the best time to discover yourself and start working on something you love doing. It could be anything, from a job as a data scientist or even a painter!
Read a book!
Just like your body needs exercise to stay in shape, your mind needs constant reading to stay in shape. The reason why I am suggesting you read a book and not articles online is because of the vibe. The vibe of reading a book, the smell of it, the curiosity to learn what’s going to happen next keeps your brain alive and active.
The more you read, the better your brain functions. Reading is one of the most profound habits one can have, according to research, people who read books are more successful in life as compared to those who don’t. Hence, it is the best time to start reading! One of the perks of reading is that it is one of the best ways to spend your nights or evening.
On a lighter note, we all understand that this lock-down and pandemic has been hard for all of us, so it is essential that we look out for our loved ones. Life is nothing without love and you can not expect people to be okay, because we’re all in this together. No matter what happens, constantly ask about the health of your family and friends. We will soon make it out of this, together!
